Hi, I'm Emily Thomas. I'm a human being based in Connecticut with a deep conviction that life is more interesting when you let little things delight you. I'm a fan of kitsch, a collector of hobbies, and a firm believer that most problems can be solved with enthusiasm and a playlist.

I get to work in TV!

I'm a Supervisor of Content Publishing at A+E Global Media. I like being close to the content but also close to all of the bugs and hiccups. Keeps me on my toes!

I'm also midway through a Master's in Project Management at Champlain College, because apparently I enjoy having a lot going on. It felt like the logical next step after working as both a Production Manager and in the high-volume world of non-linear.

I dabble. In a lot.

I paint with watercolors. I draw with ink and charcoal. I'm learning. Mostly learning to drop the perfectionism. There's a whole Instagram account dedicated to the fumbling if schadenfreude is your thing.

But art is just one outlet. When I decide I'm doing something, I'm doing it. That's pretty much the origin story of this website, too.

off the clock

I need stories, and pictures, and sound.

I watch a lot of movies and television. I love a good used book with notes from a distant stranger in the margins. I still buy CDs and make playlists for special occasions.

I'm drawn to things with personality — garish, colorful, weird, beautiful stuff. Visual boredom is a total thing.
